Wise Daughters Craft Market; a
spotlight on creating in the Junction
Wise
Daughters Craft Market is more than just a place to find amazing crafts
and art.
It is a place to get inspired. It's a gallery and a place to learn.
Whether
you are looking for one of a kind jewelery, a gift that no one else has
thought of or new decor for your home this craft market is a great
place to visit!
Head out to
the
Junction and look along Quebec Ave and you will find all the
crafts your heart desires.
I first heard about Wise Daughters sometime last summer when I read
their profile in the paper.
Immediately I knew I would love this place as it plays to my
craftiness.
Wise Daugthers is more than a shop and if there is something that you
want to learn to make yourself just ask as there are many workshops
available.
The range of items available for sale is staggering. Kinitted clothing
and dolls, silkscreened or painted bags and onsies. Dolls made of
recycled materials and jewelery.
Look for the Wooly Gourmet, owner Mary Breen makes fruits and veggies
out of felted wool.
Nothing screams Sunday school craft rather gorgeously hand made and
unique.
When I visited the work of a Fergus Ontario artist was being showcased
in the space below the shop.
Make sure you venture downstairs as this is where you will find the
artisans gallery.
To me Wise Daughters is where to go when you are looking for a one of a
kind gift.
Whether it be a sock monkey for a baby shower or a flower hair band for
my neices. Its somewhere to keep going back to for something special.
Rent the gallery space, rent a button maker, sign up for a workshop or
just shop.
Wise Daughters is located in
the
Junction neighbourhood of Toronto.
