Windergarden; home decor, garden and Holiday fantasy
Windergarden has been referred to me no by a few
different people. In fact it is the reason I went to explore Annette
Street (just north of Bloor West Village) in the first place.
I was warned that the store closes down to switch over for the
Christmas Holiday season. So I waited a bit to make sure the store was
open.
If you grew up with Christmas or just enjoy the Holiday magic it is
definitely worth checking out the store right now.
What you expect to find is home decor for both indoor and outdoor
spaces. Right now because we are entering the Chistmas season there is
obviously more indoor than outdoor furnishings but you do get the
entire decor package.
You can find everything from end tables and lamps to kitchen stuff and
gifts.
I was drawn to the large selction of oversized clocks and a set of
three pictures that made up a stamp of the Eiffle Tower.
The staff was extremely helpful and accomodating. Most people just
ignore me as I take pictures and leave. The wonderful ladies behind the
counter gave me a place to stash my stroller and fawned over my 2 year
old assistant.
I also noticed the interaction they had with the other shoppers. The
feeling was that people come to shop here frequently, are rememebered
and treated like friends as opposed to just another sale.
Other items I noticed were a selection of buddhas, Maxwell Willams
china, a large selection of wall hangings and mirrors; plus fun Holiday
nick nacks and orniments.
I am looking forward to checking this store out again in the spring to
see all their outdoor funishings and decor solutions.
