More than just bird seed

Wildbird Toronto is found along Mt. Pleasant road and offers a different take on design than the more luxury upscale stores a quick walk away on Yonge Steet.

The store started out offering a selection of bird seeds and bird feeders but now also stocks unique artwork and home furnishings with a more cottage chic feel.

Visiting from out of town, my Mom was pumped when she got these patio lantern jack-o-lanterns. They were such a hit last year that Wildbird has plenty in stock this year!

The majority of the finds are from local Toronto artisans.

Great old windows converted to mirrors and vintage porch posts converted to lamps.

Another artist paints on glass to provide a great stained glass effect. But this intricate artwork can be purchased at a fraction of the cost of stained glass.

There are also lots of perfect items for a back yard or garden. Even indoor finds from antiques and paintings for a shabby chic home.

And if you are into birds Wildbird is a definite must.
