It is hard to find flattering jeans in the first place but if you are uncomfortable because you are shopping in a store that is meant for teens it is even harder.

Stick to denim bars like Body Blue Denim Lab or Holts jean department for expert service from someone who knows jeans.

Most stores carry a bit of denim so look to shops that are more mature like Liv by Au Lit or Your Clothes Friend.

Even shops like Gap and Roots have improved their denim lines recently; just pick styles with a mid to high rise.

Note high rise doesn't equal Mom jean it should still hit below the belly button on a modern cut.
