The Narwhal Boutique fits seamlessly into the
sophisticated shopping scene in Toronto's Rosedale neighbourhood.
Its the type of store where you can find edgy and hip brands from
Toronto, Europe and NYC.
Plus just one outfit from this store would make all your friends
envious of your ridiculously cool style.
An outfit from this Rosedale women's boutique could easily have you
mistaken for a Parisian tourist or one of NYC's hottest fashion
bloggers.
Because the vibe is more cool than professional those in a traditional
office role would have to balance pieces from here with more subdued
office attire, but those in a more creative field could walk out with a
complete outfit.
For the most part the items in this store could be described as
investment pieces. That said there is some balance with more
inexpensive fare.
Brands like IRO, Preen and Helmut Lang command large price tags whereas
printed jeans from Tripp and shoes from Dolce Vita are wildly
affordable.
A few of my favourite items from in the store were the animal print
skinny jeans which could easily be very rock n roll or extremely
sophisticated.
I also fell in love with the IRO version of the traditional Chanel
tweed jacket.
The accessories can't be missed either. There is a small selection of
shoes, sunglasses, printed scarves, even leather bags and jewellery.
Many have complained that The Narwhal is hard to find but those that
have shopped Rosedale before will be familiar with this space from when
the fish market was here. The boutique is behind the Summerhill shops
and beside the Beer Store.
