When you pass Modelo Furniture on Dufflaw Ave it is unassuming in a low rise factory style building amongst Toronto's tile kings and fast fashion headquarters.

But once you step inside you will be impressed with what you find.

Self described as designer furniture for less, Modelo should be a first stop for anyone shopping for furiture on a budget but don't want to scrimp on style.

My husband and I stopped in at Modelo shopping for couches and were wowed by the selection and the styles.

The store seems to go on forever and had something for everyone. From sectionals to two and three seaters, to leather and fabric finishes.

Many of the lines you will recognize, one that stood out for me were former designer guys Stephen and Chris couches.

There isn't just couches either.

You can shop for dining sets, end tables, buffets, bedroom sets you name it. Although the largest selection was dedicated to living room furniture.

One of the floor staff assured me that many of the couches could be finished in other materials, to just ask. So don't assume because you are shopping in a warehouse that what you see is what you get.
