Maternity Business Clothes; Ways to still look business appropriate at 9 months!

Dressing for work while you are pregnant is tough. You need maternity business clothes that are stylish but all you are finding are casual separates.

For many, what passes as maternity business clothes doesn't meet the dress code for employers.

When I was pregnant I succumbed to paying too much for poor quality mall store maternity clothes to make due. And while I might have looked cute there was rarely a day I truely looked professional.

If dressing for work before you were pregnant meant a mix of suits and separates this is what you should be looking for while pregnant as well.

A Bump Band Set will get you through the early maternity phase (or so if you are lucky!) so that you can squeeze into your regular clothes.

However by the time you are 4-5 months and showing you will need true maternity clothes to make it through.

Contrary to what you might think when shopping at your typical mall store, you can find maternity suits and office wear.

This allows you to maintain your professionalism while pregnant especially if you are in a position of authority.

This is however one time when your suit jacket doesn't have to button up. In fact while it may close properly at 5 months pregnant it is sure to be a tight squeeze at 9 months pregnant.

Instead ensure you have a great top to wear under that jacket so that you can show it off to its fullest! While you can go with a simple tailored button down, try a wrap top in a vibrant colour instead!

While I have heard of women who wear heels throughout their pregnancy this is not reccommended. Pick up some stylish flats that can accomodate your swollen feet in the last trimester.
