Little Peeps; Riverside's local
baby boutique
Little
Peeps is Riverside's answer to the baby boutique. It seems that every
neighbourhood has one these days.
I find that there are two types.
One filled with practical things that every parent needs like
strollers, slings, nursery decor and feeding accessories. Sure they
carry a bit of clothing and gifts but really they are catering to your
big ticket needs.
The second type is more about what you want. Adorable clothing, cute
toys. These are the perfect places to shop for baby showers and for
parents to spoil their children.
This little person boutique is definitely in the second catagory.
The shop hasn't been open long but I like that it fills a void in the
east end. The brands carried here are not readily available elsewhere.
Brands include Hatley, Egg, Tea and the most extensive selection of
Dwell studio I have seen in Toronto. There are even Dwell sleep sacks
which were just darling!
The store doesn't just cater to newborns either there is a selection of
clothing for toddlers and kids as well. Clothing fits babies and kids
from newborn to size 8.
The clothing lines are all environmentally friendly which seems to be a
theme for east Toronto shops.
There is more to the store than just clothing, toys and decor are also
well represented.
The boutique has an over all feel of calm and serenity. Everything has
a softness to it, from clothing to decor.
If you are a fan of Where the Wild Things Are this is definitely a must
visit shop. Max and all the charaters are here in plush form!
Overall I was very impressed with this little baby boutique. With so
many to choose from in the city I was excited to experience something a
little bit different from the pack.
