jacflash boutique is the brainchild of Jaclyn
Genovese and combines two of her life loves; fashion and music.
Genovese started out as a classical music major in school but upon
graduation pursued opening a boutique to bring her style to the
masses.
Filled with glam rock dresses, skinny jeans and sky high heels, plus
trendy hipster looks for him, jacflash is a unisex boutique with a rock
n roll vibe.
Walking into jacflash's West Queen West boutique it is just as easy to
get drawn in by the decor as the clothes.
The space could just as easily be used for events or as a club with
beautiful people lining the walls as opposed to beautiful clothing.
Instead we find body conscious dresses, faux fur coats, and sequins. But
for every glamed out ensemble there is an equally cool jeans and tee
combo.
Brands range from highly recognizable labels like JBrand and Mink Pink
to less accessible lines like Style Stalker, One Teaspoon and Ambre
Babzoe from Paris.
There are even Toronto designers featured in the shop like dresses from
Cara Cheung and accessories from Fischer Street.
The men's selection is less glamour and more hip boyfriend material.
Jeans and slim fitting sweaters, button downs and sleek trench coats.
Men can easily put together a wardrobe for weekends, casual Fridays or
a job that doesn't required an overly formal look.
Mens clothing brands include Saint Augustine Academy, Schaffers Garment
Hotel Denim and CP shades.
Jacflash isn't just about clothing it is about discovery. Discovering a
new look, discovering a new sound in their listening lounge,
discovering a great spot for fashion.
Its a hub of what's cool right now.
Price points range from just below $100 to approximately $1000 for some
dresses. In general you can find a great piece for around
$200.
