The Higher Ground Toronto store has reopened just
up the street from the old location in the Yonge and Eglinton
neighbourhood at double its previous size.
Carrying men's and women's clothing for outdoor enthusiasts and sporty
types, Higher Ground is the type of shop you should visit when you are
planning an adventure.
Dubbed a lifestyle clothing store, to me this is the type of shop you
want to visit if you need to brave the elements.
From winter jackets for all types of sub zero temperatures, to water
proof jackets for the rain and footwear for all sorts of terrain,
Higher Ground makes me want to spend more time outside.
Higher Ground carries brands that have permeated beyond sporty types
into mainstream fashion. Canada Goose jackets have become increasingly
popular for Canadian winters whether the wearing is just walking around
downtown Toronto or braving an Arctic ice flow.
Other brands available are Patagonia, North Face, Arc'teryx, Royal
Robbins, Boggs and Merrell.
Higher Ground lives up to the lifestyle boutique label however as there
is more than just clothes and accessories for extreme weather and
outdoorsy activities.
There is also an array of casual clothing great for weekends or casual
Fridays. Brands like Autumn Cashmere, Bugatti, Lillia P, Line and Horny
Toad.
With all the turnover that you see at Yonge & Eglinton, stores
that last a few years at most, it is fantastic to see a shop that has
not only spawned a spin off (Higher Ground Kids) but has been able to
survive the market for over 20 years.
The new shop is bigger and better than ever.
Higher Ground is found on Yonge Street south of Sherwood Ave and has
the following operating hours:
