Dorly Designs; House of Canadian Fashion

Dorly Designs set up shop recently in Leslieville at Queen and Jones.

Described as a House of Canadian fashion; Dorly has chosen completely wearable easy pieces for Men, Women and kids.

Everything from jewellery and accessories to dresses, t-shirts and jeans fill the shelves making it hard to make a decision on what to buy.

Often when I pop into stores that are dedicated to independent Canadian designers much of what is on the shelves is not exactly targeted to the average consumer.

Dorly has done a great job of featuring designers that have flattering easy to wear t-shirts, skirts and dresses.

I was very impressed with the selection of menswear which includes cool tees and jeans.  Often menswear gets overlooked so it is great to see a good portion of the store dedicated to great mens fashion. 

There is also a line from Stefanie Bezaire for plus sized women who often go ignored in more fashionable boutiques.  I thought the shapes and colours are super modern without being too trendy.

The middle section of the store is packed with jewellery form a multitude of designers including the owner Dorly herself. Look for her clothing line which will be coming for Fall 2010.

There is also a section for babies including novelty onsies perfect for a shower gift!

Dorly's boutique can be found in Leslieville and is open for business 7 days a week.
