Coal Miners Daughter Boutique

Coal Miners Daughter Boutique is found on the picturesque Markham Street in the heart of Mirvish Village.

I was surprised when I walked in as the boutique was much smaller than I was expecting. Taking up just the space of the front parlor room of an old home, Coal Miners Daughter would be hard to shop with more than 2 people in the shop at a time.

Size really isn't an indication of a great shop however and Coal Miners Daughter has plenty of stuff to get excited about.



Two things stand out for me at Coal Miners Daughter. Cute dresses and even cuter accessories.

The boutique is known for stocking Canadian designs many of them hyper local (ie from Toronto).



While most of the designs are simple, they are ultra feminine and expect plenty of colour and pattern.

The owners Krysten Caddy and Janine Cockburn-Haller are also two of Coal Miners Daughter's designers, producing both jewellery and clothing for the shop.



The standouts in the shop for me were the gemstone and nature inspired jewllery, cute strapless dresses (perfect for the beach) and feather accessories.

Part quirky (cassette tape change purses) and part glamour girl Coal Miners Daughter has something to satisfy a range of tastes. Its a great place to go to get something unique to accent an outfit.



Coal Miners Daughter is open evenings through the week (Tues  - Fri 5-9pm) and afternoons on the weekends.  (Sat 12 - 9pm, Sun 12-5pm)
