Cabbagetown Toronto Shopping Neighbourhood

Cabbagetown Toronto is one of Toronto's oldest most distinguished neighbourhoods that is going through a resurgence of late.

The historic Victorian homes are being renovated and this once down and out 'hood is becoming vibrant with a mix of great shopping, ethnic restaurants and lots of patios.

From just before the depression to the 1980's Cabbagetown was one of Toronto's slums. Now the neighbourhood is part of a Heritage Conservation district and the homes are being brought back to their former grandeur.



Cabbagetown offers city dwellers a chance to visit with animals usually only found in the country at Riverdale Farm. This is also home to the Free the Children organization founded by the Kielburger brothers.
