Bicyclette boutique started out online selling
coveted girly fashions that mix a downtown feel with breezy bohemian
styles.
After some showcases and pop-up shops in the neighbourhood, bicyclette
set up a permanent shop in West Queen West.
Its got that it girl factor, emphasising quirky pairings and ultra feminine accessories.
The website and physical store have the same airy feminine feel with an
all white background.
They are stocked with must have dresses, unexpectedly paired with a
long chunky cardigan or novelty tees.
Without being too trendy, the shop features brands favoured by
20somethings like Mink Pink and Wildfox Couture.
The pieces are completely wearable; nothing is saved just for the
office or events. This is a shop that features everyday items. Perfect
for a weekend walk through Trinity Bellwoods.
Although I am sure there were some in there, its not the place to be
finding your ultimate denim or structured staples.
As evidenced by the rhinestone encrusted hangers this is the type of
shop you come to add a bit of playful femininity to your wardrobe.
The items I fell in love with were the Functional Aztec drape cardigan
and the Lauren Elan Abbey necklace which is a mixture of pearls and
rhinestones; perfect for the Holidays. There was also a lace open front
cardigan that was great for around $80.
Many of the items sold online are found in store and vice
versa. But there are online exclusives and some of the items sell
out in store before they can get photographed and featured on the
website.
Keep this in mind while you shop. Bicyclette stocks merchandise in
small batches so items do sell out quickly.
Price points range from just below $100 to approximately $250. In
general you can find a great piece for around
$200.
