Toronto Baby Boutiques, neighbourhood by neighbourhood

Alot has changed since I was a baby. Strollers can cost over $1000, wearing your baby is in fashion and breast feeding is popular again.

But where do you go in Toronto to find all the cutest and best baby gear? Try these torontoshopoholic recommended stores!

Moms To Be and More South Bayview

Moms to Be and More

This is one of Toronto's premiere all you need for baby boutiques.

You can find everything here from strollers to cribs, nursing bras and layette. Definitely a must visit for moms to be and a continue to visit for new moms.

As a new mom I have haunted this shop since I was three months pregnant to determine what stroller to buy, finding the perfect sling and splurging on plush changing pad covers.

Brands to covet that are carried at Moms to be and more: Bugaboo, Phil & Teds, Dwell, Kushies.

Kolkid

KolKid

Setting itself apart for the everything you NEED for baby stores is KolKid. This is a everything you WANT for baby store.

Specializing in unique toys, gifts and clothes, KolKid is a must visit baby boutique for parents and anyone looking for a great baby gift. Your friends will thank you for shopping there!

Neighbourhood: West Queen West

Simon Says

A super fun kids clothing store that has clothing for newborn to size 12. Also find great toys and accessories for your tots! Look for the blabla knitted animals, and upscale Hudson jeans for your kid!

This shop no longer has a physical store - check them out online.

Baby on the Hip

Another everything you could need for your bundle of joy boutique, from strollers to teething, diapering, layette and toys!

This ultra chic one stop shop differentiates itself on its organic offerings. I am intrigued by the store brand hoodies, hemp wash cloths and the gogo mama light weight bunting bag.

Check out their new store for older kids - Kids on the Hip , just down the street!

Li'l Niblets & Baby Sprouts

Another great specialty Toronto baby boutique! While the layette section is packed with cute items the draw of this store is the nursery and stroller area.

There is plenty of room to test drive the numerous strollers and there are also a number of mock nurseries for your little girl or boy.

My favourite part of the whole store however is the vast assortment of lovely nursing rockers. No old lady rocking chairs here.

Polka Dots Kids

Polka Dot Kids is a bit like KolKid in that it is all about things you would want to play with if you were a kid again.

How it is different? It feels like this store's buyer has more of an eye for design. Great place to find cool things to decorate with or really unique clothing.

You can shop Polka Dot Kids along West Queen West

Admiral Road

This is a Toronto based company started by two Moms who didn't want to return to the hustle and bustle of Bay St. They make the most adorable personalized blankets. These blankets have been featured in many magazines and have been spotted with Hollywood babies galore!

You can purchase the Admiral Road blankets online: www.admiralroad.com

While these Toronto baby and maternity stores are great places to find everything you need, it maybe hard to know exactly what you need, especially if you are a first time parent.
