I was out walking today soaking up the great weather. Walking around Toronto neighbourhoods is one of my favourite things to do especially once the weather gets warm. I want to head back to Riverside to check out a couple of things. There were cool vintage Raybans at Common Sort and some home furnishings to show my husband at Hardware.

I have sad news for moms and dads of toddlers today. Leslievilles Kids on the Hip is closing its doors at the end of March. It is said that they are merging with sister store Baby on the Hip but since that is quite a small location it is unlikely that too much of the store will be devoted to the bigger kid stuff. Also note that Guff Antiques will be moving Apr 1, presumably into the Kids on the Hip location.

Yesterday Melanie asked a question about where to find Yoga Jeans. I have actually seen them at Max's Wholesale in Leslieville. Some of the other locations off the website carry other lines form Second Denim Co. I went past some of the Danforth suggestions today and can confirm that Body Blue has Yoga Jeans (in fact they are advertised right in the front window!) whereas Grass Roots has the eco line from Second denim NOT yoga jeans.

For all you who have been waiting for MacFabs new Riverside store to be open I wandered past today and it is OPEN! The is a much swankier version of the old store and at first glance more home decor friendly than fashion design. But all the notions and fabrics at the old store are here in a wonderful new package! Also watch for Bergstorm Originals new location across the street from the old store.
